GATAfunho é a chancela infantil e juvenil de uma recente e pequena editora de Lisboa, que agora completa dois anos de existência. Com a aposta inicial em grandes autores e ilustradores infantis estrangeiros, como Helen Oxenbury, Tony Ross, David McKee ou Jutta Bauer, publicámos pouco mais de duas dezenas de bons livros. Sem perder de vista essa aposta, queremos consolidar o nosso catálogo com valores emergentes portugueses na ilustração e ficção para crianças.

Para além dos atributos artísticos ou pedagógicos das obras que publicamos, a nossa linha editorial tem sido e continuará a ser pensada para responder a esta pergunta: o que pode cada livro fazer por uma criança? Pode fazer muito: é essa a nossa ambição e é por isso que aqui estamos.

GATAfunho is the label for children's books of a small and recent publishing house in Lisbon, which now completes its second year of existence. With an initial investment in great foreign authors and illustrators, such as Helen Oxenbury, Tony Ross, David McKee and Jutta Bauer, so far we have published about twenty great books. With this in mind, our goal, however, is to enlarge our catalog with emerging portuguese values in this field.    

Beyond the artistic or pedagogical atributtes of the works we publish, our editorial project has been and will continue to be thought in a way that may answer the question: what can each book do for a child? We believe it can do a great deal: that is our ambition, and that is why we are here for.
